PRESS CONFERENCE H2O for Peace - iPhoneography for Human Rights

22 March marks the 25th anniversary of the first UN World Water Day. Since 2009, the Opera Campana dei Caduti Foundation has enjoyed "special consultancy status" at Ecosoc, with a particular focus on the United Nations' agenda which invites non-governmental organisations such as ours to raise awareness of the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Of the 17 objectives in this Agenda, at least two refer to water. These are shared objectives aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all humankind with sustainable development. The Opera Campana dei Caduti Foundation is very keen to draw attention to the issue of water, and has created an international photography competition for smartphones.
