Sunday 7 May 2017 at 11:00 will see the official endorsement by Ukraine of the Memorandum of Peace, during an official ceremony to include the raising of the country's flag, delivered by Ambassador Yevhen Perelygin. This will be followed by 100 strokes of Maria Dolens and the signing of the Register of Honour.
Out of respect for the grand ideal of peace and brotherhood among the living in remembrance of the dead represented symbolically by the Maria Dolens Bell of the Fallen, Ukraine has decided to officially join the Foundation which promotes this aspiration for universal peace./span>
The ceremony will take place at 11 am on Sunday 7 May. Following a welcome to all civil, military and religious authorities in attendance, the members of the official delegation will be introduced:
- The Regent of the Foundation: PROFESSOR ALBERTO ROBOL
- The government representative
- The Ukrainian ambassador Yevhen Perelygin
A wreath will be placed at the foot of Maria Dolens, accompanied by a representation of the Rovereto Municipal Police corps; this will be followed by the handing over of the flag from the Ambassador to the Regent. The official delegation will proceed to the flagpole, and to the sound of the Ukrainian national anthem, the Rovereto Municipal Police will raise the flag.
The Rovereto Minicoro children's choir will sing the Italian national anthem and lastly the 100 strokes of Maria Dolens will sound, before the official delegation proceeds with signing the Register of Honour under the Bell, watched by the attending authorities.
